what is prime directives?

            For those who are old enough, you may remember the voyages of the Starship Enterprise in ‘Star Trek’ to explore the far corners of the universe under one directive, the Prime Directive, to learn about and respect whatever is found with no attempt to alter it. 

           It strikes me, intuitively, that you and I have a duty to explore the far corners of our lives to discover that one directive, universally true for all, wherever located in time and place, by which we are to live. This Prime Directive demands study and respect with no attempt to alter it because altering that which is prime is not possible.

         Once this Prime Directive is grasped, it is to be made a part of everyday life, becoming a habit of living. If this Prime Directive conflicts with the way we live, it is not the Prime Directive in need of change, for if it were, it would not be a Prime Directive. Rather it is our lives in need of change. If this commands an aberration of that believed sacred, church and country, then let the aberration be.

           The Prime Directive is the foundation of moral law, and it is an ethics, in conformity with the moral law, by which we are to be guided. A way forward consistent with the Prime Directive can be no other way than the way of the moral law, demanding an attending, conforming and supportive ethics.

Prime Directives are meant for the strong (in spirit, heart and mind), the true leaders of mankind.

            Prime Directives have three parts being addressed. These define THE PROBLEM, faced by all, wherever in time and place, The SOLUTION to The Problem and, based on The Solution, A CALL TO ACTION.
